The Fitzkee Brothers

The Fitzkee Brothers Power Trio — Drew Fitzkee (bass/vocals), Alex Fitzkee (drums/vocals) and Will Bart (guitar) — are bringing a fresh, high-energy sound to the modern jam and funk world.

Brothers Drew and Alex started playing major stages as teenagers and have quickly grown into a sought-after rhythm section, becoming part of the musical communities surrounding P-Funk, the Allman Brothers, Grateful Dead and modern improvisational music. With regular guitarist Will Bart, the trio combines deep funk grooves, Southern rock, psychedelic textures and open-ended improvisation into a live show that can go anywhere.

Recent appearances include Jam Cruise, the inaugural P-Funk Festival, Roots Rock Revival, Great Blue Heron Music Festival, Big Blues Bender, Florida Folk Festival, The Ramble, Sunshine Get Down and more. They’ve performed and collaborated with artists including George Clinton, Oteil Burbridge, Berry Duane Oakley, Taz Niederauer, Joe Marcinek, Sneezy, Donna the Buffalo, Roosevelt Collier and others.

Drew and Alex have also served as the rhythm section for Thurtdelic, appearing on the Sir Nose Jr. album, and are the touring rhythm section for The Peter Levin Trio.
