Learn MoreSPAGA ft. Aron Magner of The Disco Biscuits
SPAGA is something entirely new and different from the Disco Biscuits’ Aron Magner.
Aron Magner:
The Philadelphia-based musician is best known as the keyboardist and founding member of The Disco Biscuits. Magner and The Disco Biscuits have been instrumental in bringing live and studio improvisational, electronic-based music to the forefront of the live music scene and, increasingly, to popular culture. Magner’s journey started with classical piano, but his interest was re-invigorated at age 13 when he discovered jazz. He then sidelined his piano studies as he explored improvisational jam rock with the Biscuits, but always maintained an affection for the genre. He is now going back to his roots, organically fusing jazz with his unique style.
Jason Fraticelli:
As an upright bassist, composer, and multi-instrumentalist, Jason Fraticelli is seen and heard often at the center of many musical scenes in the Philadelphia/New York communities. For the past 20 years he has been acting as sideman for many different artists such as Matisyahu, Melody Gardot, and Cyro Baptista, while at the same time always fascilitating his own groups such as the Fresh Cut Orchestra, The FCC, and The Jason Fraticelli Band. Within an ensuing career, Jason has toured in groups such as Matisyahu, Melody Gardot, and Cyro Baptista’s Banquet of the Spirits. He has recorded with many different artists such as G Love, Robert Glasper, Mark Guiliana, and Taylor McFerrin.
In 2013 Jason was awarded a project grant from the Pew foundation for the purpose of recording his extended work the Mothers’ Suite, a six movement piece to be recorded by his 10 piece co-lead group the Fresh Cut Orchestra. This work came out in 2015 on Fresh Cut Orchestra’s debut record ‘From the Vine’ which was released on Ropeadope records with acclaimed reviews from the New York Times, Downbeat, and NPR’s All Things Considered. In 2014 Fresh Cut Orchestra went on to receive the Kimmel Center Jazz Residency Grant which led to the collaborative work entitled ‘Life Mosaic’, a 4 movement piece written about the four stages of life to be recorded and released in the near future. Later that same year a Subito grant was awarded to Fresh Cut Orchestra in order to finish studio production on their second record ‘Mind Behind Closed Eyes’ which was released by Ropeadope records in 2016. Fresh Cut Orchestra has been receiving rave reviews while performing at renown performing arts center venues such as the Kimmel Center for Performing Arts, and the Kennedy Center for Performing Arts in Washington, DC.
Matt Scarano:
Matt Scarano is a drummer, composer, and educator living in Philadelphia, PA. Over the years he has established himself as one of the Philadelphia region’s most sought after drummers for both live and studio performance in a wide variety of styles. Matt has performed throughout the world, sharing the stage with numerous world-class musicians and artists including Chris Brubeck, Time For Three, Ben Schachter, Matisyahu, Dick Oatts, John Swana, Larry McKenna, and Dave Allen. He is currently performing and touring with numerous groups including Time for Three, Son Step, and his own original ensemble. Matt attended Temple University where he received a B.M. and M.M. in Jazz Performance. He is an active private teacher and clinician and is on faculty at University of The Arts, Camden County College, The Boysie Lowery Living Jazz Residency and the Education Committee of Philly Drum Project.

Learn MoreWood Belly
Honest, soulful, and bearing a sound all their own, Wood Belly sprouted from the roots of bluegrass to carve out a unique home in the broader Americana scene, continuing to captivate audiences across the country.
Wood Belly established themselves as a staple of the Colorado and national acoustic music scene by winning the 2018 Telluride Bluegrass Festival Band Competition and earning an IBMA nomination. Bluegrass Today said, “Even now, it’s safe to determine that they’re ones to watch… the freshness and vitality they bear elevates their standing and assures their status as instant contenders.”
Back by popular demand, Wood Belly returns as a string band after several years of venturing into the wilderness of electrified newgrass and Americana. Outfitted with some of Northern Colorado’s finest acoustic musicians, the songs that have captivated audiences for over a decade ride on in their original form.
The renewed string band conjures a sound that drifts seamlessly between motion and stillness. Offering a repertoire that floats from hard-driving bluegrass to soft, drifting ballads, the unit is nothing short of dynamic. The songs rise and fall with intention, anchored by melody, shaped by texture, and guided by a deep focus on vocal blend and harmony.
Wood Belly String Band is a continuation, a renewal, and a gathering around the same fire that started it all.

Learn MoreErika Sherger
Erika Sherger is a Northern New Jersey-based singer-songwriter and guitarist whose music blends indie folk, Americana, and alt-country with raw storytelling and emotionally resonant vocals. Known for her authentic, soul-stirring performances, Erika writes songs that explore grief, healing, transformation, and human connection with unflinching honesty.
Raised on the music of the 70s, 80s, and 90s, she began playing guitar in college and turned to songwriting as a deeply personal outlet. Though she wrote privately for years, it wasn’t until 2018 that she stepped onto a stage at a local open mic. From that moment on, her musical journey accelerated. She now performs regularly throughout New Jersey at songwriter showcases, listening rooms, and community venues, both as a solo artist and alongside a rotating cast of collaborators.
Her vocal style and music has drawn comparisons to Natalie Merchant, Emmylou Harris, Stevie Nicks, and Gillian Welch, but her sound remains distinctly her own. Influenced by the songwriting of artists like Peter Gabriel, Ryan Adams, and Jeff Tweedy, Erika’s lyrics are poetic and introspective, shaped by her experiences and a deep connection to people, nature, and memory.
Her 3rd album Wrap Me Up in Colored Feathers was released in September of 2025. Produced by Damian Calcagne at PineBox Studio, the ten-song collection features contributions from notable musicians including Mike Robinson, Elliott Peck, and Adam Minkoff. It follows her 2023 album Bad Wolf and 2021 debut EP Like Birds, further establishing Erika as a powerful new voice in folk and Americana.

Learn MoreThe David Parmley Band
David Parmley formed the Bluegrass Cardinals with his father, Don Parmley, in 1974 when he was 17 years old. His singing and rhythm guitar playing became a standard of the 1970’s bluegrass sound. A California band, they toured all over the US for many years and recorded 15 different projects together. David left the band in 1991 and moved to Nashville. Don retired in 1997. They were inducted into the IBMA Bluegrass Hall of Fame in 2025. In Nashville, David recorded an album with Del McCoury and then formed Continental Divide and began creating a more modern sound for bluegrass. He toured all over the country with them for a decade or two and then decided to retire from performance due to health issues. With the recent interest developed with the Hall of Fame Award, David has decided to get back out there and sing some songs. His voice is one of the most recognizable in bluegrass. He has a great band of Nashville regulars who have played with many of the best over the years. When you hear David Parmley sing and play his guitar, you are reminded of the past while being riveted in the now.

Learn MoreStanley Plays The Dead
Guitarist Stanley Jordan has formed a new band called Stanley Plays The Dead. Stanley describes it as “Cosmic vibal variations on the music of the Grateful Dead. We're adding more jazz elements, while keeping the original musical feel and the trippy vibe.” Over the last 10 years or so, Stanley has been a frequent guest with Grateful Dead bassist Phil Lesh. Stanley says, “Since I've been playing with Phil a lot of his fans have started coming to my shows. I wanted to reward them with something that I knew they would like. I also wanted to bring new people in to share in the spirit of openness and belongingness that this music brings about.”
Here are the band members, all of whom sing as well as play instruments:
STANLEY JORDAN was raised in Palo Alto, California—the very city in which the Grateful Dead was formed. In this band he uses his signature tapping style while still paying homage to Jerry Garcia's lilting melodies.
Drummer KENWOOD DENNARD is unique among drummers, and he's influenced multiple generations of musicians of all instruments.
Bassist GREG KOERNER brings a lifetime of experience playing Grateful Dead music.
JESSE HIATT is the band's keyboardist and second guitarist. He brings the blues, African, Brazilian, funk and R&B.

Learn MoreFriends of Jerry
"Friends of Jerry is a Grateful Dead cover band that sounds very little like the Grateful Dead. Drawing from punk, post rock, shoegaze, krautrock, and jazz, FOJ uses the Dead catalog as a springboard for trance-inducing improvisation and danceable groovecraft. By purposefully eschewing the tired tropes of the Dead cover band world, they have created a sound and a community as unique and varied as their influences, while remaining true to the Dead’s rambling, wanderlusty ethos. Founded in 2021 by guitarist Sean Reilly (Mumblr) and drummer Kevin Paschall (Roof Doctor) as an offshoot of their long running psychedelic two-piece Brown Rainbow, they soon enlisted Tommy Fala (Half Thought) on keys, Andrew Meagher (VVeed VVolf) on bass, Danielle Zabielski on vocals and electronics, and Zach Coleman (Witch Bomb) on guitar. Their music inhabits a vast universe, flirting with spacious and effected landscapes, tight and focused speed metal riffage, and deep exploratory jazz excursions, all framed by a deep reverence for the Dead songbook."

Learn MoreMuscle Tough & Nik Greeley And The Operators
Muscle Tough, Philadelphia’s premier Futuristic Funk Fusion trio, specializes in a heavily improvised blend of modal jazz, funk, and rocking psychedelia.
Their creative use of sound design and group-minded improvisation blurs the line between their originals and the quirky pop classics they stretch out on.
"Too Busy 4 Jail" (2025) is a testament to what happens when you combine road-hardened material with hi-fi studio magic. Mixed by Grammy-winning engineer John Davis at The Bunker Studio, Muscle Tough's kaleidoscopic approach has never sounded better, from in-your-face funk fusion to Pink Floyd-dosed jazz to straight-up polyrhythmic tech-metal.
"Goes to Hell" is a love letter to the band's improvisational chemistry. This live album is entirely improvised from start to finish, without edits – a myriad of nightmarish bliss, transcendental moods & true compositional telepathy on display.
With a revolving door of guests including members of Phish, MMW, Dopapod, Lotus, Snarky Puppy, and DJ Logic, along with a reputation for their sprawling late-night sets, Muscle Tough invites audiences around the world to GET TOUGH!
